Frequently Asked Questions
Fablife is the most complete program for improving your fertility. It combines the 3 essential pillars to improve your fertility naturally:
- meals to follow a pro-fertility diet ;
- specific food supplements to ensure all fertility-related vitamin and mineral requirements are met ;
- teleconsultations with an expert in nutrition, lifestyle and fertility, to put in place all the right habits for getting pregnant.
Why these 3 pillars?
Studies show that men and women who follow a fertility-friendly diet improve their chances of having a baby by 50%. At Fablife, we believe in the ability to adapt one's habits to achieve a goal, which is why we offer you pro-fertility recipes for every meal, while adapting them to your habits.
Because we want to make sure you're doing everything in your power to achieve your goal, we combine this nutritional program with supplements sent to your home every month.
And because we know how difficult it can be to change your habits, we've built regular coaching into the program to help you implement your new routines.
To provide you with the best possible support, the Fablife program is tailored to your profile, with dietary supplements formulated as closely as possible to your needs and/or additional coaching to optimize your support.
The FabLife team in the US is headed by:
- Olivier Caix, FabLife Founder & CEO
- Éric Lameignère, PhD in biochemistry
- Laura Williamson, BSc in public health nutrition and MBChB
Our team also includes a group of registered dieticians, with special interests in fertility issues, who operate as our nutrition coaches.
The ideal duration of the program will depend on your profile. The minimum duration we recommend is 4 months because this is the time needed to effectively change your lifestyle habits. This is also the length of time required to reduce the effects of certain factors, outside of diagnosed pathologies affecting your reproductive health, that can negatively impact your chances of becoming a parent for example, being overweight, damage from inflammation and damage from oxidative stress.”“In three to six months you’ll see lasting changes.
In three to six months, you'll see lasting changes.
FabLife’s programs are for people of all ages, as long as they’re still in good health. The Essential supplement will help you to reduce oxidative stress that increases with age.
For women over 35, we recommend that they subscribe to take our P+ supplement. This is an antioxidant-rich formula especially designed for women exposed to significant oxidative stress. It helps to combat some of the aging effects of oxidative stress on their cells (including oocytes).
Our BeDaddy program is the first program to help men improve their fertility through diet and lifestyle changes and is validated by a clinical study. Our BeMum program was created using the same model and although not validated with its own clinical study, is backed up by the scientific literature which shows the profertility diet to have significant positive effects on women’s reproductive health.
Both of our programs are supported by scientific publications. Our BeDaddy program, validated by an interventional clinical study, helped to create our BeMum program, which is strongly supported by evidence showing the beneficial effects to women’s reproductive health by following the profertility diet.
The efficacy of the programs very much depends on you and your ability to follow the plan. We’re with you every step of the way to help you succeed and see lasting changes.
In three to six months, you'll see lasting changes.
Our BeDaddy program is validated by a clinical study and our BeMum program, created on its model, is strongly supported by evidence showing the beneficial effects of following the profertility diet on women’s reproductive health.
Both programs are therefore based on scientific research looking at the effects of nutrition and lifestyle habits on fertility. We also used this research to formulate our nutritional supplements to help us provide the personalized nutritional requirements for each of our patient’s precise needs. Indeed, we have applied to patent the algorithm that calculates each patient’s nutritional requirements which was developed by experts in the nutrition and fertility fields.
Both of our programs are supported by scientific publications. Our BeDaddy program, validated by an interventional clinical study, helped to create our BeMum program, which is strongly supported by evidence showing the beneficial effects to women’s reproductive health by following the profertility diet.
The program has a three pronged supported structure: nutritional supplements, one on one coaching, and a profertility diet plan.
Food supplements :
Your food supplements will be delivered to the address of your choice and we aim to get them to you within 48 hours of subscribing to your FabLife program.
Pro fertility diet :
You can start your diet program as soon as you download the application from the AppStore or PlayStore.
You will complete a series of questionnaires that will help us get to know you a little and also define your personalized nutritional needs.
We produce a meal plan for you based on the profertility diet. You can pick your meals from our large database of delicious and easy to make recipes. We even offer you options for quick meals as well as ones that require a little more preparation time.
Supportive fertility-centric coaching :
Your coach will review your diet and lifestyle habits with you to help you identify areas you can make the changes you need to improve your fertility.
You will meet them again (virtually) after each month of the program. This gives you the opportunity to review your progress and ask questions, or their advice, on specific issues or outcomes you have in mind. Plus, each month, you will make new goals to help you instigate more positive changes into your life and ensure that these habits stick. Building healthy nutrition and lifestyle habits over time will have an even greater benefit to your overall and reproductive health.

The program helps men and women who want to become parents by improving their fertility.
It is aimed at persons who are having difficulty having a baby, who are under medical supervision as part of a pregnancy program, and women who simply want to prepare for pregnancy.
The program is indicated for persons with pathologies associated with fertility, such as PCOS, endometriosis or unexplained infertility. In fact, the program helps reduce some of the infertility factors associated with these conditions, such as inflammation, oxidative stress and excess weight.
If you suffer from endometriosis, PCOS or unexplained infertility, the program can help.
In addition to the Essentiel program, BeMum offers three options to tailor it even more closely to your profile. They cannot be purchased separately from the Essential program.
They can be adapted to your profile and needs: you can subscribe to none, one, two or three options.
Options can be added at the time of subscription, or during the course of your program. They can also be deleted as required.
The Equilibrium option is a dietary supplement for women wishing to lose weight before pregnancy, or for women with PCOS.
The Serenity option is also a dietary supplement for women with high levels of oxidative stress, due to their age or lifestyle.
The Coaching + option consists of additional teleconsultations with a nutritionist specialized in fertility, for women requiring more extensive support.
There is no test available to the general public for assessing the body's antioxidant levels. The only method currently available is to assess your needs according to your profile. Using questions validated by experts in biology and nutrition, the program assesses your antioxidant needs, taking into account your diet, lifestyle and state of health.
The BeMum program is indicated for women with fertility-related conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The BeMum program helps to reduce the infertility factors associated with this condition, such as excess weight. In addition, BeMum offers a specific Equilibrium option for PCOS sufferers. This option consists of food supplements specifically formulated to regulate cycles and reduce PCOS symptoms.
The program is suitable for women with fertility-related conditions such as endometriosis. In fact, the BeMum program helps to reduce the inflammation associated with this pathology by proposing an adapted dietary program. If you suffer from endometriosis, the BeMum program can help.
If you are diabetic, you can follow the program. In fact, the menus on offer include recipes with a low glycemic index, suitable for diabetics. If you wish, we can recommend one of our nutritionists specializing in the care of diabetics.
The mobile app will be the link between you and your program: you'll find your diet program, you can ask your coach for advice and it will allow you to track your progress in real time.
You can contact the nutritionist in charge of your follow-up via our dedicated messaging system, available in the application.

The Essentiel program includes the following teleconsultations:
- During the first month, you benefit from two teleconsultations: an assessment of your habits at the start of the program, and a first follow-up appointment at the end of the month.
- For the following months, you benefit from a follow-up teleconsultation at the end of each month.
If you subscribe to the Coaching + option, you benefit from an additional follow-up teleconsultation every month, e.g. one every 15 days.
The Fablife program's expertise is based on the complementary nature of diet, nutritional monitoring and food supplements. Coaching is very important, because it helps you adopt eating and lifestyle habits that are compatible with your pregnancy plans, and that will make it easier for you to get pregnant.
Consultations with your nutritionist will enable you to adapt your program as best you can. Coaching is there to help you.
The aim of the follow-up questionnaires is to redefine your nutritional needs according to changes in your life during the program (weight variations, changes in physical activity, etc.).
If you don't answer these questionnaires, you will still have access to your nutritional program, but it will be less personalized and less relevant than if you had answered the questionnaires. Updating your follow-up questionnaires will give you the best chance of becoming a parent.
It's essential to fill in your profile questionnaires, as they enable us to calculate your precise, personalized nutritional requirements, and to suggest specific recipes for your fertility.
Your food preferences questionnaire enables us to offer you recipes that respect your tastes and habits.
You will be accompanied by one of our nutritionists specialized in fertility, who will follow you throughout your program.
Throughout your program, she'll help you adapt your diet and lifestyle to your needs and state of health. She will work with you to set targets and help you gradually improve your habits.
If you are unable to keep your telephone appointment, we advise you to send a message to your nutritionist at least 24 hours before your appointment, via our messaging system in the mobile application, to ask him/her to reschedule your appointment. Depending on her availability, a new appointment will be proposed as soon as possible.
Your pro-fertility menus take into account your diet (pork-free, vegan...), your food preferences and habits, your aversions and your specific needs. They are tailor-made especially for you, providing all the nutrients you need to boost your fertility.
Available in your app, your pro-fertility diet is made up of simple, tasty recipes.
For each meal, we offer several options:
- If you've indicated that you'd like to have breakfast, you'll have two options each morning.
- For lunch and dinner, you can choose between a meal to cook and a meal to assemble in 5 minutes. Each proposal is accompanied by recommendations for eating out.
- We'll suggest healthy, tasty snacks to suit your needs.
Your preferences can be modified at any time during the program, and your pro-fertility diet will take them into account in future menus.
It comes with an automatically generated shopping list to show you all the ingredients you'll need in your next recipes.
Your food preferences questionnaire enables us to offer you recipes that respect your tastes and habits. For example, it's in this questionnaire that you'll indicate which diet (vegetarian, pork-free...) you follow, if any, the foods you don't want to eat, or the composition of your meals (starter/main course, main course only, starter/main course/dessert...).
The more accurately you complete this questionnaire at the start of your program, the better adapted your menus will be.
You will be able to update this questionnaire throughout the program, and decide whether or not you want the changes to be effective immediately or at the next creation of your menus
The recipes we suggest are calculated according to your personalized nutritional needs specific to your fertility. The greater your compliance with the program, the better your chances of becoming a parent.
The dietary survey assesses your diet at the start of the program. Its aim is to identify the areas where you can improve your fertility through diet. It will also enable your nutritionist to get a better idea of your habits, and to work with you to set personalized objectives.
By calculating your precise nutritional requirements and food preferences, an algorithm selects the recipes best suited to your profile, enabling you to improve your fertility while respecting your tastes and habits.
The program is made for you: the dietary recommendations depend on your dietary preferences, the objectives set for you will be in line with your abilities and motivation, and the educational content provided will be adapted to your problems.
If, despite this personalization, you encounter difficulties in implementing the necessary changes, your nutritionist will be at your side throughout the program to adapt it and will be your first line of support.
If, at any point during the program, you feel you are no longer able to follow the recommendations made, it is essential to inform your nutritionist, who will be able to adapt your program.
Meal selection is important for two reasons:
- it allows us to know which recipes you want to cook, and to generate your shopping list based on these recipes;
- it allows us to know your nutrient intake over the past week, so that we can adjust your next recommendations.
In fact, for many nutrients, nutritional balance is not achieved on a daily, but on a weekly or monthly basis.
You can indicate in your dietary preferences that you don't eat breakfast, and your nutritionist will work with you on this point, if she feels that this habit is not suited to your profile. As for lunch and dinner, this habit probably doesn't cover your nutritional needs properly. This option is therefore not available. On the other hand, for each meal there's a very easy and quick dish to make for eating on the run. In any case, your nutritionist will be at your side to help you adopt your new nutritional program.
To consult your menus, go to the application, downloadable from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. After logging in, check that you have completed all your questionnaires. Your menus are available in the "Food" tab of your application. If you don't have access to your menus, please contact your nutritionist via your app's messaging space.
Fablife determines your macro- and micronutrient requirements based on the information in your profile, and suggests easy-to-make recipes to help you meet your nutritional needs. If you'd like to share your meals with your partner or even your friends, there's no reason why they shouldn't eat the same menus as you! Be careful, though, as your nutritional needs will probably differ from those of your partner, so be sure to adjust the quantities accordingly.
During the program, we make recommendations in the form of recipes. It is possible to adapt a recipe.
For example, if you're offered a dish with a food you don't like and you didn't mention it in the food preference questionnaire, you can replace it with a food from the same family.
However, each food provides different types of nutrients and micronutrients, so if you replace it, you'll be moving away from the optimal intake we've calculated for you. In general, try to follow the recipe instructions as closely as possible (weights, foods, cooking methods, etc.).
So that we can offer you recipes that you like, and that respect your specific fertility needs, remember to update your dietary preferences and eliminate foods you don't want to eat.
If you encounter any difficulties, don't hesitate to mention them to your nutritionist during follow-up appointments.
Each person's nutritional needs (macronutrients and micronutrients) are different, depending on your profile and lifestyle. Your answers to a series of precise questionnaires enable us to feed your data into our nutritional algorithm. This algorithm, developed in-house with nutrition and fertility experts, is an artificial intelligence system (expert system) that uses this data to calculate your personalized nutritional needs.
Fablife food supplements are sent to you each month, and are to be taken daily. They have been specifically formulated with active ingredients recognized for their effectiveness in the field of fertility. To personalize your program according to your profile, you can add specific dietary supplements by modifying your options.
The number of capsules is specific to each Fablife dietary supplement, so check the dosage on the label of each product.
The program's expertise is based on the complementary nature of diet, nutritional monitoring and food supplements. Coaching is very important, as it enables you to adopt dietary and lifestyle habits that are compatible with your pregnancy plans, and that will help you get become parent more easily.
As part of the program, we provide you with food supplements to help cover your nutritional needs, for your use only. They are formulated specifically to improve your fertility, and the quantities are adapted either for women with BeMum, or for men with BeDaddy. These supplements must be taken daily.
As the composition is specific to each dietary supplement, please consult the "Composition" section of each product label on our website.
There's no set time for taking your supplements. We do, however, recommend that you take them at the same time every day, to establish a routine and reduce the risk of forgetting. Generally speaking, dietary supplements are better absorbed when taken on an empty stomach.
No, it's not nutritionally useful to compensate for a forgotten dose by taking a double dose. Just resume taking them the day after you forget.
Most dietary supplements are compatible with Fablife dietary supplements. If you have any doubts, let us know the composition of your dietary supplements and we will analyze their compatibility with those of the Fablife program to avoid any interaction between the different dietary supplements, or any overdosage.

A genetic test is carried out on around twenty genes. They have been selected for analysis because certain variations in these genes can lead to disorders in your metabolism, and have indirect effects on your fertility. The genes analyzed were selected on the basis of scientific results showing that it is possible to act on these metabolic disorders through appropriate nutrition.
You will receive a welcome pack containing a saliva sampling kit. The kit is accompanied by a guide to help you take your sample correctly. You'll also find instructions on how to send your sample to the laboratory. This saliva test should be sent to the analysis laboratory as quickly as possible, to minimize the use of results for customizing your program.
The analysis of your genetic results will be accessible in your "My Account" area.
We do not sell or trade your data. It is only used to personalize your program.
If you wish to benefit from the nutrigenetic assessment, a medical prescription is necessary. We invite you to discuss this with your doctor.
